The Rann of Kutch and the villages therein are famous for traditional handicrafts which are exclusive to the area. Dhordo specializes in silver jewellery, mirror work and a special kind of leather embroidery which is called Mutua. Several gift items of these art forms can be directly purchased from the artisans in the area. Other villages in the area such as Zura (30 km from Dhordo) specializes in embroidered footwear and other kinds of leather embroidery and Nirona (40 km from Dhordo) specializes in lacquered wood crafts. This area has a lot of unique gifts that you can take away as souvenirs for friends and family.
