At Omarama is the Clay Cliffs Paritea. The mesmerising moonscape is a result of erosion on layers of gravel and silt that were exposed to active Oster fault line. The cliffs are situated on private land, there is a vehicle entrance fee of about $5, which is payable at the Omarama Hot Tub, about 8 to 10 kilometres away from the area.
Huge lime stones , sculpted by the winds, rivers and rain stand the Elephant Rocks, the same weird landscape that served as Aslan’s camp in the films of Narnia.
