Popularly known as the Deutsches Museum, this is one of the oldest and the most well-preserved science and technical museums on the planet.  The building has a full-scale collection of aerospace vehicles. This building, situated at the north end of Marienplatz, is an important government landmark. Using the architecture style of the Gothic revival period, Georg Von Hauberrisser took 41 years to complete this mammoth building (1867-1908). The main tower of this building, which is almost 85 meters in height, is open to the public. The Rathaus Glockenspiel is a major tourist attraction, where 2 stories are enacted three times a day for the amusement of the masses.

Traditional Munich diet is essentially Bavarian. A typical Munich breakfast will consist of Brezn, a veal-based sausage, Sweet mustard and White beer.

Soups of different varieties are eaten as a starter during a typical Bavarian meal. The staple meal will consist of mainly:

• Pfannkuchensuppe (pancake soup)

Nightlife is quite vibrant in Munich. One will have to be over 18 years of age to enter a bar or a discotheque. There are some bars unique to Munich where one can only enter if the person is 30 years of age and above. One can find a number of gay bars in the area as well.

Built initially during the period between 1857 and 1874, this giant palatial structure was a home to gifted students. Since 1949, this has been the permanent address for the Bavarian parliament.

One of the major attractions during Oktoberfest is the statue of Bavaria which overlooks the area designated for Oktoberfest beer festival. This a 20-meters high statue situated on the western border of Theresienwiese.

This is a gate with a three-way arch symbolizing triumph. This structure has the statue of Bavaria and a lion-quadriga and is situated at the north end of Ludwigstrasse. This gate was also the brainchild of King Ludwig I and is also dedicated to the bravery of the Bavarian Army. This gate has faced the grudge of the World War II and has been repaired only partially since then. The most interesting part of this structure is an engraving at the back of the gate which means, “Dedicated to victory, destroyed in a war, a reminder of peace”.

This structure was built in honor of the Bavarian army. King Ludwig, I had summoned Friedrich Von Gärtner to create this monument after he was inspired by the Florencian Loggia Dei Lanzi. The most popular attractions in this building are the statues of Bavarian Military Leaders Johann Tilly ànd Karl Phillipe Von Wrede.

Located in Schwabing, this huge landmass of green is bigger than the Central Park of New York. This is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a beer or to take a stroll along the numerous creeks or lakes.

Olympia Park
