There are no flea markets in Monaco as such but regular exhibitions and trade fairs are organized where consumers can certainly expect to have some good time.

This grand palace located in Monaco Ville is the highlight point of all sightseeing itineraries and offers a stunning view of the Monte Carlo harbour. Built in 1191 this is Prince of Monaco’s official residence and the home of the Grimaldi family. The architecture of the palace is a blend of different styles and has a number of notable rooms in the State Apartments like the Throne Room, the Mirror gallery, the Red Room, the Blue Room etc. the Mazarin Room is which is actually a drawing room is perhaps the most remarkable room in the entire palace and has a number of gilded and painted Italian polychrome boiseries crafted by famous artists. Tourists and visitors can take a guided 40 min tour of the palace.

The Monte Carlo opera house is designed by famous architect Charles Garnier and has an ostentatious yet extremely beautiful interior that truly reflects the rich and glamour of the land. The Opera House is extensively decorated with frescos, paintings, sculptures and other artwork and has an atrium paved with marble and surrounded with 28 onyx made iconic columns. For more than a hundred years the opera house has been the venue for ballets, prestigious concerts and operatic creations and is another must visit place for the tourists.

Dedicated to the Patron Saint of the Princely family – this votive chapel was built during 11th century AD in the in the hollow of the "Vallon des Gaumates". There is a myth that a frail boat carrying Sainte Dévote's mortal remains ran aground at the entrance of the chapel during the 4th century and at nightfall of 26th January every year a boat is burnt commemorating the incident.

Inaugurated in the year 1883, this Renaissance style church has a 30 meters high bell tower and nineteen stained glass windows. The gilded chandelier at the princely palace is an added attraction and this also offers free admission like most church and cathedrals in Monaco.

With its rich, glamour and gambling Monte Carlo can hardly be a preferred vacation destination for kids but if one is spending a holiday in Monaco your kids, will certainly not get bored for there are some entertainment and engagement options for kids too. The OceanographicMuseum is undoubtedly the best museum in Monte Carlo and your kids will love spending time here.
