ThabaBosiu Mountain also known as ‘Mountain at Night’ is the stronghold of King Moshoeshoe the Great. He was the first one to occupy he place in 1824. From here you can view his grave, fortification remains and the original settlement along with the Qiloane pinnacle. There is an interesting story that this mountain is actually a hill in the daytime and turns as a mountain in the night.

Lehaha Grill in Maseru is little expensive but the service is excellent. It is open only for dinner.

Lesotho Sun gathers on Friday nights whereas Maseru Club in the United Nations Road, Maseru offers ‘gentleman’s bar’ and is restricted to members only. Good Times café that is located at the city center Maseru, is a bar that also provides food. It is a favorite spot for foreigners and visitors. Lancer’s Inn is the place for foreign workers to have drinks. Leifo Bar is a modern bar with plenty of choice of high-quality drinks. Mapolankeng in the city center of Maseru is the best place for local beers especially Maluti Beer.

Pioneer Shopping Centre is a complete mall for everything with shops, eateries and entertainment with cinema hall. It is open from 8am to 4pm.

Basotho Hat in Maseru is popular for handmade ceramics, wire push toys, copperjewelry and dresses.

The topography of Lesotho offers you plenty of chances to do any sort of adventure you like as long as it is safe and under proper guidance. Rock climbing, paragliding, hand gliding, mountain biking.

You can find the colonial remaining of Lesotho at major Bell’s Tower and Fort in Hlotse. This was built in 1870 by the British. The fort was besieged during 1880 to 1881 but not captured. Besides the Tower and Bell, there is a statue of a European.

Most of the people in Lesotho are Roman Catholics. Villa Maria Mansion lies in between Masitise and Quthing. It has a striking two-spire. This church is a sandstone building. Lesotho Evangelical Church is among the oldest Protestant Churches of Africa. It was built in 1833. Victory Church in Maseru is near the Pioneer Shopping Center of the city. There are more than 36 Anglican churches in Lesotho.

Masitise Cave House Museum was built in 1866 by a Swiss missionary. This was a part of an old mission. Interesting displays of local history and culture are found here. Moreover, you can find the foot print of a dinosaur in the ceiling. It is in the western part of Quthing near the primary school and Church.

Bokong Nature Reserve is one of the three National Parks of Lesotho. It lies at the top of Mafika-Lisiu Pass between Katse and Leribe at an altitude of 3000mts. It is open from 8am to 5pm. You must book through Lesotho National Parks.The Lepaqoa Valley has enchanting views with dramatic setting of nature with an attractive waterfalls and challenging cliffs.

Apart from the Bokong and the Ts’ehlanyane National parks, the oldest nature reserve Sehlabathebe National Park is stunningly beautiful and peaceful. It covers 6500 hectares of land at an altitude of 2400mts.  Here the specialty is the numerous birdlife.

The rock formations, Alpine flora and the Maletsunyane Waterfalls are something you will never forget in your life. This waterfall is the highest single dropping one from the height of 186 meters down on a spectacular gorge.
