The autumns are the best time in Guangzhou. Lasting from November to mid-December the climate is clear, dry and cool. The skies are clear and bright. Many visitors come during this season.

The spring season in the city will range from late February to mid-May. The climate during this time can be humid, cloudy and misty. High rain can be expected to occur from May to June. Guangzhou Baiyun international airport is considered to be the major hub of the south china region after Hong Kong. The airport serves as a base for the China Southern Airlines and connects to a majority of the domestic terminals. It also connects to the nearby international terminals like Ho Chi Minh, Dubai, Chicago, Amsterdam, Bangkok, Qatar, Seoul, Hanoi and other various major airports.
By Rail
Trains from Hong Kong arrive in the city in about 2 hours at the East Guangzhou railways station. To go for a cheaper railway service, you could take the Guangshen intercity train that runs from Shenzhen to Guangzhou. There are coaches also available to bring the passengers from the Hong Kong international airport to the city. The trip may take up to 3 hours.
