May to August is summer. Tokyo during spring is breathtaking with cherry blossoms and flowers blooming making it perfect for outdoor activities and lasts from March to May. Humid subtropical zone prevails in Tokyo with hot humid summers and usually dry and mild winters with clear skies. The Ogasawara Islands are warm the year round being located in the subtropics. Snowfall is an annual occurrence while periodic typhoons occur almost every year during the summer from June to August (though most are weak).
Lasts from September–November and is good to explore in Tokyo as well apart from the spring.
It is from December to February and provides the scope for ice- skating. January is the coldest month and August is the warmest month thus beckoning tourists to choose their preferred climate.
