The weather remains largely warm and pleasant in Bosnia during June to September while in Herzegovina the warmth in air can be felt a little earlier. These months are ideal to avoid the snow and accompanying chills. Spring and autumn also brings out the splendid beauty in the countryside. You can witness a riot of colors in the hills and plains. If you are a skiing lover, a winter visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina is advisable. Bosnia witnesses higher snowfalls and chilly winters. The skiing slopes are available from mostly January to March. The top ski areas are in Bjelasnica and Jahorina mountains.
