Late spring and early summer is ideally the period of the finest weather in Barcelona. Nevertheles, due to the proximity of the Pyrenees, occasional cold winds blow over the region in April. This also heralds a period of frequent rainfall.
The warm period lasts till October. November to February is quite cold but it never gets too chilly. Snow however, is hard to come by despite the nearby mountains.
