By road : the village of Mawlynnong is located at a distance of 90kms from Shillong and 92kms from Cherapunjee. You will have to take some public transport or hire a jeep.  


Best time to visit Living Root Bridge:

The best time to visit the village and the Living Root Bridge is during the monsoon season when the natural beauty of the village at its best. Travelling during the summer season is also quite ideal as the temperature here does not exceed 30 degrees. However, winter is not a great time to visit the village because of the biting cold. 


Timings and entry fees:

There are no particular timings to visit the Living Root Bridge but ideally, you should not visit the bridge at night due to the lack of light and wild animals in the forest. .
