Marari is one of the beaches located in Kerala which is in a small fisherman’s village called Mararikulam. This area is essentially a beach resort and there are plenty of hotels that can be visited for relaxation.Marari is a small beachside locality, famous for its medicinal plants, organic farming and nature conservation.
There are gardens in most of the resorts and some of them have different types. For example, one of the top resorts in the area has a butterfly garden, which is the perfect place to wander around and relax amongst the butterflies.
The beach is the best place to enjoy nature in this area. You can walk across the sandy beaches and enjoy the feeling of sand between your toes. You can also go swimming and enjoy the nice cool water and even lie out on the beach and sunbathe. The beach is very clean, lined with palm trees.
The summer and the monsoon seasons are from June and July and from the end of October until December respectively. During this time the area receives an incredible amount of rain, which would make going outside and travelling quite difficult. The incredible amount of rain that is received will cool down the temperatures, but it will make going outside of the hotel room a practical impossibility.
Winter
The best time to visit this area is from December until March, which is the winter season. The weather during this time is sunny and dry, even if it is a bit chilly. Ideally, you could also visit during April or May, but the temperatures rise along with the humidity. This is one of the best times to visit if you want to be able to enjoy the water. Some of the resorts have pools, which can be availed during the summer months.
Also, if you want to drive here, you simply need to get on to the NH 47, which will take you near S.L. Puram, which is only 5 kilometres away from Mararikulam. This is one of the best ways to get to the area because then you will have your own mode of transportation. However, if you are planning to drive ensure that you have your route all mapped out and the route available in a few different places
By Air
There are a few different ways to get to this area, including by train, car and plane. To get here by plane, you would need to fly to the nearest airport, which is Cochin Airport and then drive the rest of the way here.
By Train
Also, you can take a train and the nearest railway station from the beach is a mere 10 kilometres and is called Mararikulam.
