Located only 520 km from the state, in terms of aerial distance, it enables a flight duration of approximately 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. Telangana’s only functional airport is Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. It is situated in Shamshabad, a mere 20 kilometres south of Hyderabad city. With a capacity of 12 million people, boarding both domestic and international flights, the airport leverages good connectivity. Equipped with ATMs, cafes, restaurants, lounges, retail stores and even spas, individuals have access to a wide range of services. The airport is also in close proximity to the Umdanagar and Budvel railway lines, located at a distance of 4 km and 7 km respectively.

NH7 is the longest national highway that manoeuvres through the state, entering from the north and zipping all the way to the south. Other highways include NH9, NH 221 and NH 222, all of which contribute to the proficiency of the infrastructure. 

Individuals may choose to travel via road, through the comforts of state and private bus services. The capital city boasts of a competent and well-established bus terminal that lays paths to neighbouring cities such as Aurangabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Tirupati and Panaji. One may avail of sleeper, deluxe, super deluxe, air-conditioned and Volvo buses, depending upon the budget and type/number of persons travelling.
