The ideal time to visit the area is between the months of December to February which is the winter time in the area. The temperatures during this time will be much lower than during the rest of the year, which makes it the ideal time to come and visit the area. This is also one of the best times to visit the park and take a safari because it won't be too hot nor will it be raining.
During the summer months between March and June, the temperature will rise to around 31º C which is not the ideal time to go sightseeing. The heat will make it harder to visit the park and see any of the animals because they will be taking respite in the shade and will come out during the cooler times of the day.
The other bad time to visit the area is during June to December which is when most of the rain in this area occurs. They get around 2,000 to 3,000 millimeters of rain each year during this time which makes sightseeing almost impossible. However, it is possible to visit during this time, but you should be aware of the weather.
