Tajikistan is blessed with a number of monuments and ancient forts and fortresses. One such epitome of beauty is the fortress of Yamchun Fort. As the local myth says this fort was built by two king brothers namely Qakhakaha and Zangibor. This is the eldest fort of Tajikistan. This fort is also known as KafirQala.  This fortress is featured with thick walls and watch towers. This massive monument also has few towers which were constructed in chess order.
