It is also known as The Sultan Ahmed Mosque. The exterior of the Mosque has beautiful domes that cascade from the main dome located in the center. The name ‘Blue Mosque’ comes from the color of the tiles which are placed inside the mosque. There are 250 stained glass windows and multiple chandeliers making the interiors look splendid. Burial buildings and tombs of Ahmed- the First and his family members are in front of the mosque.
