Located in the capital of the SeychellesIslands, Victoria, on MaheIsland, the BicentennialMonument is referred to by the locals as “Monimantrwalezel” which means “monument with three wings”. It was constructed in the year 1978 in order to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Victoria town. The monument serves as a representation of the European, Asian and African origins of the inhabitants of Seychelles.
