One of the oldest and popular temples in Kozhikode, is the Tali Temple dating back to the 14th Century. Built by Swami Thirumulpad, the Zamorian, the myths often link the temple to the city’s prosperity and boasts of grand Kerala-style architecture and paintings depicting the Hindu mythical creatures. Dedicated to the Hindu Lord Ayappa, the temple hosts the annual seminar or ‘Revathi Pattathanam’ during the months of October-November when scholars from across the country and world meet together.
