Just a 2 - 3-hour drive from Bangalore, it is a majestic spot that attracts a lot of tourists throughout the year. By Road: Most people visit the falls via Bangalore city as it just a three hours’ drive, covering a distance of 126 kms. it is a short, enjoyable road trip and one can choose between two routes. One of the ways to reach there is via NH-209 through Kanakapura and Malavalli, and the other is via Bangalore Mysore Highway through Maddur. Both drives offer a scenic route and picking one over the other boils down to convenience.
By Air: Though Mysore is just 72 kms away from the Shivasamudram falls with the Mysore Airport being the nearest to this place, this airport has limited flight routes. Hence tourists prefer the Kempegowda International Airportthat which is in Bangalore as it has excellent connectivity with whole of the country.
Shivasundaram falls are open to visit all days of the week. One can enjoy the beautiful views of the waterfall from 8 am to 5 pm, however it is advisable to visit there during the mornings. This is because you can witness the alluring waterfall while the sun is up in the sky, making the overall view even better.
There is no entry fee for the waterfall, so one can observe the beauty of nature without having to spend a single penny.
