Designed and planned by John Bacon in 1801, this edifice was built in Parade Square to honour Admiral George Rodney. He was the commander-in-chief of the West Indian Naval Station and saved the country of Jamaica at the Battle of the Saints against a combined invasion by Spanish and French fleets.
