The Back waters of Champakulam is one of the famous draw of this region which attracts thousand of visitors from all parts of the world. It is an extensive network of interlocking rivers, lakes and canals. There are a total of 41 west flowing rivers which comprise this back waters channel. The main reason of its popularity is because tourists get to stay in a house boat floating in these back waters and enjoy its natural beauty.
