This old fort is an icon in Ranthambhore. The fort is situated inside the National Park about 5 kilometres away from the entrance. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was built in the year 944 AD. This majestic fort is situated on a small hillock, which is about 700 feet high. The Fort was used as an abode for the erstwhile Royal family during their hunting expeditions to the area. There are several interesting places like the Ganesh Temple, King’s court, Royal cenotaphs and execution room inside the fort.
