About 18 kms from Ambaji in Sabarkantha district, Poshina reflects the beauty of traditional village life, populated by colourful tribal communities of the Garasias, Rabaris and the Bhils. Poshina is home to a tribal shrine where thousands of terracotta horses can be seen, in rows in reverence to a local goddess. The villages, close by, have similar horses carved in the same way. A visit to the homes of the potters who make these horses show us the exquisite handwork of these artisans.
