The Parasurameswara Temple dates back to 650 A.D. and is the oldest existing temple in Bhubaneswar. The temple is decorated with stone sculptures of various Hindu Gods such as Shiva, Ganesh, Parvati, Muruga and Vishnu and other mythological deities. The walls also feature floral designs and animals. The images on the temple walls speak about the legends. The attraction of the temple is the ‘one thousand Lingas' placed in the corner of the temple.
