The festival of Nagaur Cattle Fair competes with the famed Pushkar Fair which is vibrant kaleidoscope of decorated animals, local arts and crafts and special shows by Nagaur’s popular puppeteers that give a glimpse of the bygone era and bring popular Rajasthani folktales and legends to life through their dramatized story-telling.
This place is famous for its 16 grand Jain Temples and Hindu temples located only 64 Km away from the city of Jodhpur. These temples are an exemplary specimen of the most ancient forms of Rajasthani architecture and design. The wealthy traders are thought to have built these structures somewhere between the 8th century and the 12th century.
