Victoria Memorial - This is the most prominent monument in Kolkata. It harks back on the Queen’s era in the state and is still a marvelous sight to behold.

Birla Planetarium – This is probably the oldest Planetarium in India. The projectors and all other optical devices fitted on the dome are procured from East Germany.

Mornington Fort – This fort is about 90 km from Kolkata and is situated at the meeting point of rivers Rupnarayan and Bhagirathi
