Situated on the outskirts of Puerto de la Cruz this animal park was formerly built for parrots. This 33 acres park has over 4000 parrots belonging to 350 species and sub species. In addition, it has other attractions like the largest dolphin poll in Europe, the biggest indoor penguin exhibition and the longest shark tunnel in the entire Europe. Loro has animals like tigers, otters, jaguars, gorillas, chimpanzee, iguanas, sea lions, alligators, giant tortoise, exotic fish, pelicans, piranhas, flamingos, orcas, and various types of sharks. Plant lovers can witness very rare plants in its orchid gardens. The parks hosts sea lions, parrots, orca and dolphin shows multiple times in a day and receives a footfall of over 40 million people a year and is loved by kids and adults alike.
