Situated near Konnakkad this is a rain forest area and is a section of the Western Ghats in the Kasargod area of Kerala. The rain forest extends into the Ranipur Wildlife Sanctuary. This site is a trekker’s haven and popularly called the ‘Trekker’s Paradise’. This hill station is very similar to the popular hill station of Kodaikanal and it is the home to many animals like wild dogs, elephants, deer and pig.
