In Vilnius these three beautiful white crosses were erected on the hill in 1916 in memory of seven Franciscan monks who were murdered. This place offers a panoramic view of the capital city Vilnius. Hill of Crosses: This was formed on Jurgaicial Mound near Siailiai from 1850 onwards. Till now this pace has been destroyed five times at different periods and each time it has been revived by the people more vigorously than earlier. It has been stated that more than 100 thousand crosses were there showing people’s faith in the almighty.
