Haridwar is probably the most religious and precious pilgrimage site for all the Hindus in India. The Mansa Devi Temple is the most renowned temple in the city. Haridwar is known for two things, the Har ki Paudi and the Kumbh Mela. Every day at approximately 7 pm, the Ganga Aarti is held in Haridwar which is attended by a large number of devotees. The Kumbh Mela is the iconic pilgrimage festival which is held in Haridwar in every 12th year.
