Fort Santiago is one of Manila City’s famous historical sites. Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, theSpanish Conquistador built it in the year 1714, and it is located in newly formed city of Manila. The fort was built to protect this new city. However, this is among the very famous places of interest for visitors. It is home to many education departments, conservation offices, labs, as well as research programs. The fort is ideal for scenic walks and picnics, and there are even open-air theater performances for visitors.
