Some of the mouth watering delicacies of Madhya Pradesh are also available in Gwalior, such as kebabs, bhutte ki kees, mawa-bati, khoprapak and malpua.

Gwalior is especially famous for its hot kachoris, samosas, jalebis and rabri. In winters a crunching mouth watering sweet prepared with jaggery and seasame seeds called gajak is available which should not be missed. This gajak is also exported and the shop of Daulat Ram in Phalka Bazar is the best place to buy this.
