More than 90% of the Namibian population is Christian and apart from that Islam, Buddhism, Judaism and Bahai’s Faith is also practiced here. Christuskirche or the Christ Church in Windhoek city is one of the most well-known religious landmarks in the country. This local sandstone and imported Italian marble made church in Gothic architectural style has a 42m high tower topped by a Gothic spire and is known to symbolize the idea of peace. St. Barbara Church at Tsumeb is another important tourist destination here.
