One of the oldest churches in India, the Christ Church in Shimla is the second oldest church in North India, following Meerut. Following a neo-gothic architectural style, the church took 13 years for completion and was consecrated in the year 1857. A century and a half later, the church still stands tall and majestic, becoming a major tourist attraction and a place of religious significance. The church houses some intricate designs and paintings that depict the life of Jesus Christ. The church became more popular after it featured in movies like 3 Idiots and Black. It’s a haven for photographers.
