Constructed in 1605, the Basilica de Bom Jesus is presently a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The church is made in Baroque architectural style and is a place of pilgrimagefor Christians all over the world. Missionary Saint Francis Xavier’s mortal remains are held here in the basilica.
