Another famous national park in India, the Bandipur National Park and Tiger Reserve is very close to Kabini and Mysore. This national park works to protect several species and to preserve some of the most vulnerable species of flora and fauna. The different types of floras include teak, rosewood, sandalwood, Indian-laurel, giant clumping bamboo, etc. The park supports numerous endangered species including Indian elephants, gaurs, tigers, sloth bears, muggers, Indian rock pythons, four-horned antelopes and dholes.
