This is the only shrine which has been followed and revered ever since the pre-Vedic period. She is even named after the place she stands in which are the Arasur Hills near the origination of the river Sarasvati. The shrine is made of white stone with golden cones. There is one entrance because it is said that construction of any other entrances if not allowed by the Mataji. The temple has an open square on all sides which is used for hawans and sacrifices.
