This is a small desert town that comes on the way to Jodhpur from Bikaner. The main attraction at this town is the Ahichhatragarh Fort. It was established in the early 12th century. The rulers of Jodhpur were gifted with this grand establishment by the Mughals during the mid eighteenth century
The palace also has several fish-scales like patterned water channels they are decorated with several ornamental sprouts which are all being restored to their past glories. An interesting and ingenious feature of the Ahichhatragarh Fort is the genius air ducting system that supplies fresh cool air into the palace rooms despite the scorching desert heat.
