People flock from all over the word to Versailles to just visit this gorgeous Palace that was built in 1642 by King Louis XIII, not as a palace but a hunting lodge. It was later expanded by his successor and is the palace we know today. It has 2000 acres of manicured gardens, 68 staircases, 2053 windows and 700 rooms.

How to reach: Versailles in just 40 minutes away by train from Paris. 

Approximate Cost: Entry fees are approx. 1300/- per person. Make sure you book online as the queue can be an hour long.
