This market district has great historical significance as it was home to the commerce and trade centers during the Edo Period. It is home to the flagship store of Japans first departmental store called Mitsukoshi as well as numerous other shops that are over a century old.

Bargaining: Branded stores all have fixed prices items, there are some local vendors where you can try and bargain for a better price. Although the difference will not be big.
