The Dragon Boat Festival is also called the Teung Ng Festival. This festival is celebrated on the 5th day of 5th Lunar Month, generally May or June. People have been celebrating this festival since the 3rd century. The long narrow dragon boats are decorated and made colorful. These are then raced by teams of paddlers with the beat of gongs and drums. This festival is also celebrated all around the world as it is an exciting and entertaining festival. Many international teams have also started participating in these races and hence many such racing events are being hosted throughout the year.
