Most tourists come to visit Angkor Archaeological Park, but as enthralling as the temples of Angkor are, there are even more things to see and do in Siem Reap. Seeing a bit of Cambodia away from the temples can accentuate your Cambodian experience.
A visit to the Angkor National Museum, home to a breathtaking gallery of 1000 Buddha, is one of Asia’s premier attractions. Devoted towards the preservation of the Khmer traditions and the history and heritage of Angkor Wat, this facility has been built in the past few years. Through a series of video screens and cutting edge displays, visitors learn about the Cambodian heritage of the Angkor temple region. Daily exhibits are made from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., covering the history of the Angkor complex as well as Khmer culture and clothing for the convenience and knowledge of the tourists.
