The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo located in The Dubai Mall is home to thousands of aquatic creatures with more than 33,000 aquatic animals, comprising of over 140 species. The aquarium has more than 400 Shark and Rays in the 10 million litre tank. The aquarium also includes sand tiger sharks, Giant Groupers, and a host of other marine species. This is one of the reasons why you must pay a visit too this place on your Dubai tour.
The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is one of the largest indoor aquariums in the World and holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s “Largest Acrylic Pane”. This progression of carefully designed and planned experience allows visitors to come up close with our aquatic animals like sea horses, piranhas, crabs and many other.
Apart from the marine life, the underwater zoo houses crocodile, UAE’s night creatures, penguins, otters and a host of different animals.

Metro: The nearest station is the Burj Khalifa station (red line M1). From the station, there are frequent feeder buses to The Dubai Mall.
Metro Link Bridge: The glass tunnel link between Burj Khalifa Station and The Dubai Mall enables a splendid view of the surroundings such as of Downtown Dubai, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain. It is fully air-conditioned and has travelators for a comfortable walk towards the mall.
Bus: There are two buses that service The Dubai Mall every 15 minutes: route 27 from the Deira Gold Souk station and route 29 from Ghubaiba bus station.
The buses arrive and depart from the tourist drop-off area located in front of the Grand Drive Entrance, Lower Ground Floor of The Dubai Mall.
Taxi: You can book any private or public taxi and head directly to Dubai Mall

Experience the aquarium by walking along the 48-meter long Aquarium tunnel and participate in a host of activities such as:
Shark Encounter: Get up close and personal with the sharks. Safely enclosed in the diving cage, the divers will lure the sharks towards them to feed bringing you face-to-face with these magnificent sand tiger sharks. Following this experience, there is a tour of the facilities, feeding of the baby sharks and learning about the shark breeding programme. For the first time, there is no requirement for diving experience making it accessible to every individual.
Cage Snorkelling: Experience a close encounter and view over 70 different marine species including 300 sharks and rays. If you don’t wish to undertake full-fledged diving, there is also a safe cage setting for the same thrilling experience.
Shark Dives: Dive into the depths of 10-million litre tank and experience the thrill of coming face-to-face with the largest collection of Sand Tiger sharks in the world. Under expert supervision, anyone can experience the Shark Dive – certified, non–certified divers as well as non-swimmers.
Shark Walker: Another up close activity, dive into the aquarium and view sharks, rays and multitude of other fish species in this new diving experience.
Scuba Diving and Specialty Dives: Sign up for a 2-day scuba diving course for beginners and earn an internationally recognized PADI certification and become a PADI Certified Diver.
If already a PADI certified diver, enroll in the 3 professional pre-approved PADI Distinctive Specialty Course featuring a dive, tops on shark conservation and underwater photography and shark feeding that ensures you receive a PADI Certificate Card on completion which counts towards your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
Underwater Zoo – The highlight of the zoo is the King Croc, a whopping 750 kgs and measuring over 5m in length crocodile - one of the largest reptiles in protected environment from Queensland Australia that has now arrived at Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo.
UAE’s Night Creatures – Discover the fascinating diverse Arabian wildlife featuring an assortment of animal species that thrive in the desert environment of wadis, rocky mountains and sand dunes. From Arabian Toads, Fruit Bats, Giant Camel Spiders, Scorpions and Hedgehogs to Veiled Chameleons, Frog Eye Geckos, Ornate Spiny Tail Lizards and Cheesmans Gerbils.
