March to May is the best time to visit Lachung as the region experiences summers. The orchards are filled with the fresh produce of the season and the nearby Rhododendron Sanctuary also remains filled with the bloom of summer. This season provides the best time for exploration and sightseeing.
Tourists should not visit Lachung during the months of June to September as these months experience rainfall and are not a suitable time for a Lachung tour. Because the route is often obstructed due to landslides and bad weather and make it difficult for the travelers.
November to February are the winter months and can be quite extreme as well as the temperatures tend to fall below the freezing point and there is heavy snowfall around these parts.
