This temple is very picturesquely located on the banks of the ever flowing Rangit River. It has the idol of Lord Shiva in its premises and the temple is known to have a significant amount of religious importance related to the Hindi text of Mahabharata. Located under the West Sikkim district it is popularly known as the Kirateshwar Mahadev Mandir. Between the months of November and December, the temple plays home to the Bala Chaturdesi festival.
