April to June is summer season when the temperature ranges from a pleasant 15 degree Celsius and 29 degree Celsius. But, being the peak season, you must be ready for a crowd which can spoil your desire for solitude in and around the area.
July to September is thethe monsoon season and not the best time to visit Bhimtal considering the lake remains closed and the hillocks are too slippery for visitors.
October to February is the winter season. This is not a bad time to visit. But after November the temperature dips considerably and sometimes reaches as low as -3 degree Celsius. But the early months are great time to catch the view of the Trans-Himalayan migratory birds in the region. So, if you are not worried about the temperature then head for Bhimtal during the months of October and November.
