Gold Souk
The most famous and well known souk of Dubai is the Gold Souk that features walkways that are lined with a variety of jewelry shops that sell precious pieces that are made of silver, gold and other precious stones. Situated just a hundred yards from the Al Ras Metro Station in Deira, it is a must visit Souks of Dubai.
Spice Souk
Instantly attracting your attention, situated a few minutes away from Gold Souk is the Spice Souk. Its narrow alleys are lined with little shops that sell a variety of spices and herbs that include cloves, cardamom, turmeric, nutmeg, sumac and so on. Fresh stock is replenished daily by the dhows that arrive from Iran, Pakistan and India.
The Textile/ Old Souk
The Textile or Old Souk is situated in Bur Dhabi and features a line of buildings in sand colored stone, dealing in a vast range of beautiful fabrics that include those of cotton, wool, cashmere, silk and others. They also deal in slippers, souvenirs, garments and so on.
Perfume Souk
The Perfume Souk features a collection of shops dealing in perfumes situated on Sikkat Al Khail Road. The souk deals in both Arabic as well as international perfumes available in collectable jars. They also deal in fragrant incense that is very popular.
Fish Souk
Witness a vast array of various kinds of fish you may have never seen before. You can even witness the gutting, cleaning and polishing processes that go into the selling of fresh fish.
Souk Madinat Jumeirah
A modern recreation that aims to impress the modern tourists, this is part of the Madinat Jumeirah complex that hosts a large number of restaurants selling a variety of delicacies, a theatre and a nightclub.
