Red Fort
Located in the heart of OldDelhi is Delhi’s most famous landmark; The Red Fort. Built during the Mughal rule, the Red Fort is a perfect example of Mughal Architecture. The Fort stands for the power and grandeur that the Mughals were known for.

Jama Masjid
Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India is a spectacular treasure of OldDelhi. With a courtyard that can hold 25000 devotees, the Jama Masjid was completed around 1650 and took a good 13 years to be completed.
Chandni Chowk
Chandni Chowk which is in absolute contrast to the well planned and orderly streets of New Delhi is a mainstay of old Delhi. One of the busiest marketplaces in the world, it is easy to find inexpensive jewelry, clothes and electronics in the winding lanes of NewDelhi. Qutab Minar
Built in 1206, the tall brick minaret of Qutab Minar is the finest example of Indo- Islamic architecture. The five storied minaret has detailed carvings and verses from the Quran engraved on it. The Qutab Minar compound also has a few other structures of historical importance.
India Gate
Capital city of India will not be complete without the India Gate. The tall archway of India Gate is a national symbol. It is a war memorial built in memory of the Indian soldiers who died fighting for the British during the World War II. The garden and boulevard that completes the India Gate compound is a must visit attraction.
Humayun’s Tomb
Humayun’s Tomb built in 1570 houses the body of the Mughal emperor, Humayun. The tomb resembles the Taj Mahal in structure and actually served as the inspiration behind the building of Taj Mahal. It is a living piece of history and is a must visit attraction.
Capital city of India has several places of importance. Few other places one should visit include The Lodi Gardens, the Bahai Temple, Gandhi Smriti, and the Rashtrapati Bhavan among others.
