With every street, every beach offering you something new, a trip to Goa is nothing less than a gastronomical journey, one that you’ll be sure to remember for a long time. Street food in Goa is not too far behind either. Crowded with open air cafes and pubs, Goa always has something exciting on the menu. Restaurants on the beach or overlooking the sea are a special favourite for a quiet, relaxed evening and warm hospitality. From fresh sea food like Prawn Xacuti, Surmai to a lavish Mediterranean meal, whatever you may be in the mood for, Goa doesn’t disappoint.
There is enough to keep nocturnal creatures happy as well, since most cafes are open till the wee hours of the morning and serve delicious grub including bacon sandwiches, chicken sizzlers and steaks. You may also want to go the healthy way one evening and try the many cafes offering organic food and light meals along with mouth-watering beverages including shakes and flavored teas.
The only suggestion, then, for those who are travelling to Goa is try everything you can. Irrespective of whether you are a foodie or not, the food served in Goa’s belly is astonishingly scrumptious to say the least.
